How do pastors/preachers become such good speakers?

I know that every pastor/preacher cannot start out being a good speaker. What techniques are taught in seminary that improve pastors/preachers to the point that most of them speak very well in front of a congregation. Also, how do most of them get over the nervousness of speaking in front of a large group? Is this taught in Seminary, too?
