How long does it take for an invasive species to become part of an ecosystem?

Dingos were once an introduced, invasive species in Australia, now they are considered an important part the continent's ecosystem. By contrast, iguanas are currently considered an introduced, invasive species in the Southern United States. How much time does it take for an invasive species to become a necessary part of an ecosystem?
