What is conservatives motivation for wanting to rename slavery the "Atlantic triangular trade"?

Nobody is trying to rename anything. The premise is false, so the question fails. Everyone acknowledges the evils of slavery and whether the Texas textbook controversy calls the trade one thing or the other doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
