Moaning noise when turning steering wheel?

The moaning noise could be the power steering pump whining. You may have damaged the pump when you hit the scooter. Is there any oil under the vehicle where you parked? Stop by an auto parts store and ask if they will take a look. Most of them will be happy to. Good luck.
