Can anyone recommend some good music software?

There are a number of free resources online to teach you how to make your own rap beats. Hip hop and rap can be very rewarding to get into producing, especially for a college kid. After you have established yourself, be sure to try to get local clubs and DJs to pimp your stuff, many of them will.
