What is the best style of cloak?

I've been looking at cloak patterns and I want to make one/get one made but I need to choose a pattern. I've found some, but was wondering what style (gathered, full-circle, semi-circle, other) looks the best with a hood and stays on the best. Anyone know? (The hood will be sewn with it, not seperate)
