Why does my check engine light in my Infiniti I-30 keep coming on?

It sounds like you have a component of your car that is on the way out or has a loose connection. You can take it to a auto shop and have them put it on their computer. Make sure the light is on when you bring it in. They will tell you right then and there where the error code is coming from and probably what the problem is. Most state inspection facilities will not p a car that has a check engine light that is lit. When your check engine light comes on best to take care of it immediately you do not want to risk ruining your engine.
