Traveling to Alexandria and Cairo Egypt....?

We will only be there for 2 days for shopping. I know the currency is the Egyptian pound. So how many Egyptian pounds does it take for things like scarves, a can of coke, postcards? things that a tourist might buy. I'm trying to figure out how much currency to bring.
